I’ve been doing capoeira for about a year now. It’s very fun and a great martial art for geeks (singing! dancing! friendly people!). I really recommend it if you’re trying to get into shape or build strength/flexibility.
Different capoeira schools use different sequences of moves, and I’ve never been able to find the ones my class uses online. You can find the videos on YouTube, but as far as I know, they aren’t written down anywhere.
Until now!

(Someone texted these sequences to me, so let me know if anything is incorrect in the comments.)
Capoeira seems to be a lot of fun. On the videos, there is no singing at all. Which part of the training/routines involves singing?

It is! The sequences are just part of training so you learn how to go from movement to movement with fluidity (like a drill in soccer). “Real” capoeira happens in roda, e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG7E1azgu88 (the game starts 1 minute in). Music is a huge part of the roda. Usually the most advanced capoeiristas are responsible for leading the music and everyone is expected to sing, even if you don’t know the words and have to just sing nonsense. Everyone picks up the songs pretty quickly, though, most of them have pretty simple choruses.
